Notes

Using one strand of 109 rather than 2 strands of 220; the size will be a little different, but I think it’ll still work.

22 November 2015: Finished knitting.

3 March 2016: Knit i-cords for handles. Really finished knitting.

20 March 2016: Started felting i-cords for handles. May yet make an extra strap pad in blue, but we’ll see.

31 December 2016: Finally finished the last handle and sewing on the lining.

The handles are made of i-cord with cotton clothesline cord run through them for stability.

The bag is lovely but very heavy, even empty. If I ever want to make this pattern again, I could see making it as a pillow rather than a bag -- knit the bottom and body as written; knit the bottom pattern again to go on the top; put a zipper around the sides to insert a pillow form.

Donated to charity; I wasn’t using it, and while it’s lovely, I don’t have room for it.
