I worked this project with the bottom hook (Boye H) but yarn kept slipping out. Changed to the top hook at the DC round (unknown brand H) which is more rounded at the top & had no more difficulties.

I had trouble with my crochet hook (Boye H) but didn’t realize it until I was about to begin the dc round. I switched to another H that had a more rounded top edge (it was unlabeled so I don’t know the brand) which worked much better. I have included photos of the 2 so you can see the difference.
