Yes. I’m working on a blanket in the summer. I know. Since I can’t make typical granny squares with this pattern, I’m double crocheting strips.

Right now, the aim is 24 strips that are roughly 2.5 inches wide. If I decide this is a pain halfway through I’ll regrid with bigger squares, but as long as I get this done before the year’s over I really don’t care. At my current rate, who knows!

Gauge for strip: Chain 9 + 3 for turning, with 5 rows DC being just under 2.5 inches (5 rows = 1 grid square)

Can meet gauge with 4.5, but for some reason current strip I’m doing needs a 5.0 for gauge. It’s a mystery.
Edit: Back to 4.5 for strips.

Edit: Oh God I started this in 2013 and I’m not even halfway done someone save my soul.
