SUPER EASY, QUICK, FUN. Definitely a go to pattern. I also used a FLK heel and toe.

TOE I measured the depth of the heel, not including the one inch of stockinette before starting the twin stitches. On this sock, it was about 4.5 cm. I measured my foot and made a mark on my toe where a 4.5 cm toe would hit. When I had knit my sock to that point, I started working using the standard heel instructions. You will have to graft one side of the heel to the sock. I like Kitchener, but if you don’t then you can start your heel on the sole side and use a 3 needle BO to close it on the instep side.

So much fun translating this pattern! It would have been easier if I had known about Google Translate…derp.

I wish I had charted out the ribbing so it would flow properly into the leg. Also, Next time I will Ktbl the ‘line’ of knits in between the faux cables. I like the way it looks, but it would look even better at a looser tension, or perhaps more stitches. I still haven’t figured out why the right side of the chart has an extra purl column. Why can’t the left side have it? it would add 4 stitches, which is just one more set of K2/P2. oh well Maybe next time. (the extra purl is there because the faux cable eats it up on row 15. probably)
