I just found out that I took one of the 2nd place prizes for my “Wee Ones” in the Martha Stewart Crafts Contest (I’m listed as Carrie H. from OR) http://marthastewart.lionbrand.com/contestWinners.html

This is my very first ever knit toy :) Love the seamless construction, the step by step videos at Craftsy (Susan Anderson is a very fun instructor!), and that darling little elephant tail!

Notes for next time:
Try going down a needle size (from the 6) to get a slightly denser fabric, and pick up more stitches (larger triangle base) to add the body to the head (neck is a tad too narrow, making the head a trifle floppy)

I found out on Monday that I needed a shower gift for a upcoming baby shower on Memorial day.. and then they told me it was a TRIPLE baby shower. Eeek! So, this little fellow is gift number three :)

Besides the elephant, I sewed a little lined drawstring bag, and included a copy of “Dear Zoo” with one of my gift tags from my blog (the book has a picture of a elephant in it, lol!).
