4/18/13 - All done save the blocking. What a delightful pattern. Very easy, nice explanations, and I absolutely love that there is a stitch count at the end of every row. I see no reason to not knit this again and again.

In the movie Excalibur, Morgana plays a very important role in the downfall of Arthur. She sits on her throne of power in a crystal cave, depicted here:

I feel that the both the pattern I will be using and the yarn are reminiscent of this cave. The colours are beautifully represented in this yarn, and the structure of the shawl liken to the points of the crystals.
• Time justification: I am still very new to lace (having done only one project with it), and I have never added beading to my projects before. Since I want this project done right, and I have a toddler at home who is always very interested in “helping”, I expect I will need the full three months.
