(From bottom to top): Cable cast-on RS, Cable cast-on WS, Cable bind-off WS, Cable bind-off RS. As you can see, the back of the cable bind off looks better than the front, so I bind off on the wrong side, so the front of my blanket will look better. I also did the bind off as knit stitches and not bothered to bind off in pattern.

Notes

Adapting for Rowan Fine Milk Cotton instead of DK as I had bought the wrong weight by mistake!

Using seed stitch for border instead of ribbing, as it looks nicer

Adapted measurement:

CO 181st consisting of: 14+3 border + (4 x 37 = 148 cellular pattern) + 14+2 border.

Approx guage: 26.5st per 10cm

Hopefully total size would be: 68cm wide

Initial size aimed for was 68cm x 90cm
But the gauge ended up with 75cm for 181st (24.13 st per 10cm)

The knit is rather boring, esp after I have finished the Umaro blanket. The purl rows are particularly wrist aching and boring. But I guess at least I can watch telly while knitting it then.

Finally manage to knit again now that baby is sleeping early, though he still wakes up every hour!

Finally finished after years and missing both my babies!

Did a cable bind off to match the cable cast on. Quite pleased with it. It does look fantastic. Now I just need another baby!
