12/28/15 :: Yarn winding and prepping to start!

A: Loafers…15g left over
B: Soave…64g left over
C: Mighty Mac…8g left over (bound off early)

Savoring every stitch…LOVE!!

1/9/16 :: Reached the lace section and all is clear and concise with the pattern thus far. (Typical of all Melanie’s patterns.) The increases flanking the spine were a bit cumbersome at the very beginning, but get much easier as the shawl grows.

1/10/16 :: Very simple, yet really pretty lace pattern! I love how this is progressing! :)

1/15/16 :: Beginning the final 10 rows with 33g of color C. Using 6g of yarn for every 2 rows.

1/16/16 :: Beginning bind off with 15g of color C after row 6. Yarn used for bind off = 7g.

1/17/16 :: Decided to add a couple of tassels. Used 5 grams of color A. Love it!!

I did not, but might suggest doing the (optional) yarn overs, per pattern notes, to add a bit more stretch along the upper edge.
