Update 29/01/2017:
Finished joining all the parts.
I did start by joining the inner squares by crocheting at first, but the other panels I joined by sewing them, I found it easier and also I prefer the result as it gives a flatter seam.
Crocheting the border took me still some time, but I like the end result and the colours I selected.
Update 14/01/2017:
All the components are finished.
Update 22/05/2016:
After having crocheted one first panel of the first pattern, I got demotivated a bit. A lot of yarn changing, counting etc.
So the project was left aside for a while.
But today was a rainy spring day and I decided to give it another try.
It worked better and I finished another panel and also one flower from pattern 2.
I found back my motivation :-)
Yarn received 30/12/2015.
I try to wait for next year before I start the new project ;-)
In 2015 I made two larger projects:
CAL2015 from facebook group “A granny a Day….” And “Flight of Fancy” by Scheepjes.
After these, I was actively looking for a new larger project I could work on for a while, preferably with multiple colours to add some variation.
That’s how I encounterd this Lily Plond blanket and decided to crochet it.
I choose some different colours though:
For the backgrounds, this is the grass and water parts I went for some lighter colours.
For the lilies I rather choose for reddish and orange pcolours instead of the pink original.
the red and orange matches better with my interior.
