Several false starts and stops since January. Ugh. Should be good to go now.
Cast on 147 to meet desired width of 49”.

Have done 21 rows in 6 hours. Going to try to work 1 hr per day, which should be 3-4 rows. At 411 rows, this should take 3.5-4 months at this rate.

Just finished chart 4. Not quite able to work 1hour per day as hoped lol. Life is busy! More like a couple of hours per week.

Finished side one, the back, to row 175.

Do rows 176-181, then transition to saddle shoulder up to row 193. Begin neck shaping for rows 194-?, then change colors and repeat rows 161-176 and at the same time do crew neck shaping (increase every other row for 16 rows then join two front pieces)

October 14, 2025

Made crewneck neck hole and did eight rows of increases along the shoulder before casting on 14 stitches to bring me back to 147. I’ve started knitting the opposite direction instead of casting on at the bottom of the front and joining it together with the Kitchener stitch. Hopefully knitting the wrong direction will still give me the same result with the mosaic patterns. I figure this will save me some hours, and I’m really trying to finish this by the end of the month for the recipients birthday.

Had to tap into a new black and gray Patons ball. I cord with a purl (a La sailor swift) for edges.
