No gauge swatch. Started as my new “purse knitting” project. Maybe it’ll work, maybe it won’t

I anticipate playing yarn chicken, so did a provisional cast on and knit an inch, now will begin shaping.

This has been my “on the go” knitting. I ran out of the first skein and joined a new ball a week ago and have been knitting the front armhole shaping. Just looked at it in a different light and CLEARLY the balls of yarn and absolutely different colors. I’ll need to tear back and do some alternating of the skeins. Womp womp. Tempted to frog it and make the Best Dressed Vest with this yarn

Frogged. Fit check was disappointing. I needed to tear back to the waist, shaving in order to alternate skins properly and blend them, and I realized that the fit check that the waist shaping wasn’t quite enough so I had about 2 inches of positive ease around the waist and the way I was knitting, it would have negative ease in the top and I just didn’t really want that vibe. So fueled by an iced coffee and a haircut, I frogged it. I’ll be casting on the best dressed vest with this yarn, and I hope perhaps will revisit this tank with some bamboo pop from my stash in the spring.
