Notes

I’m significantly off on row gauge. Knitting size S for stitch gauge and XL for row gauge. I wish the pattern had a schematic or any other projects had an indication of the armhole depth to knit to before the icord. My math indicates 9” and size XL should get me there…

Joined in the round. so far size adjustments seem to be working….

extended the front two rows and finished the contrast stripes in the picked up shoulder pieces. Started the row to cast on neck stitches and join to two front pieces on the main color to avoid the wonky stretched out stripe at the top.

knit 4” of body and fit check is great.

Not particularly thrilled with the jogless technique, as picking up the stitch below essentially leaves the BOR of the two CC stripes as one elongated stitch. I am looking for a new technique, and I am wondering if I should attempt to drop down and try to change to the new technique. I have 50 rows to drop back and pick up and they may just be too fiddly and messy. BUUUUT I could try and worst case scenario I end up frogging back. Or just leave it. But I don’t think I will be happy with it and will always regret that I didn’t do it right.

Knit to just a smidge over 12” from the underarms to hem, finishing with a blue stripe. I dropped a needle size and knit a purl turning row then 7 rows of blue on the smaller needle. Whip stitched the live stitches to the 7th row up, which corresponded with the blue stripe. After blocking, it’s a bit more cropped than I was shooting for. I think it shrunk a bit. Not sure if I have enough yarn to add another stripe.
But it looks good and feels great so I’m going to be happy :)
