I’m a little nervous. I have 10 balls (500g) which is called for in the pattern for my chosen size. But I looked at others made and some used up to 13 balls for a small. Like how??

Put sleeves on scrap yarn and began knitting body. Twisted a stitch on the raglan increases and decided to leave it. Trying to let go of perfectionism.

Bound off the hem with Italian bins off. Just according to pattern and didn’t lengthen but think it’s going to be pretty cropped! Probs will go back later and undo the bind off and knit a couple more rows. Sigh

Finished 1st sleeve. Got carried away and made 4 extra rounds after final decrease. I prefer my sleeves longer anyway, just need to make sure to remember to do it on the other sleeve

I was going to steam block but decided to wet block because the places I connected the yarn (Russian join) were really noticeable. Not sure of the best way to join blown yarn…

I will definitely make it again. Very quick and satisfying knit, but would make 3 changes.
1) Love the yarn but need a better option than the Russian join, or at least need to control the twist. The joins are quite visible.
2) I will add short row shaping to the back for the neckline. I blocked it with the back a bit higher, but don’t love the way it sits on my neck.
3) I knitted down the collar and didn’t quite line up my knit and purl stitches (no matter how hard I tried), so I will probably sew it down next time and leave the option to fix it.
