Using slip stitch mesh from Barbara Walker’s Treasury Of Knitting Patterns, page 156. I can’t link it above, but this book for reference: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/sources/a-treasury-of-kn...
Fourth times a charm.
Started this as a Tolsta tank from the bottom up, thinking it would be a great road trip project to just start knitting. It ended up being about 4 inches too big around. Tried again top down, ended up needing an extra inch in circumference.
So third cast on was yesterday, and the fit was good, but I didn’t like the raglan lines and edges. So torn out again and CO 64 sts with long tail CO. I have two stockinette sts as the raglan line and a slipped stitch edge so I won’t need to pick up and finish if I don’t want to.
I have now started working the front piece flat and it appears that it will fit perfectly. I messed up on the lace pattern in converting it from flat to the round and back, so I had to modify The fourth row to WYIB.

Started front side flat on lace row 4. Knit to 7” armhole depth and added 1 increase on each side at 6” depth to give me 16” across. Finished up row 6. Will start row 1 (haven’t decided if casting on underarm and joining in the round next OR knit a little more first).

This is my purse knitting so will be slow going. But I joined in the round a few days ago so it’s just going to be rounds and rounds of this 6 row repeat. It’s fun to work up
Scratch that. I can’t put it down. It’ll be done in a minute lol

Used Icelandic bindoff. Probably should have sized up my needle to keep it from cinching in. Currently soaking… we shall see….
