Decided I don’t love the fabric density. I’m going to try carrying a cobweb weight cashmere and going up a needle size.

Frogged and re-swatched with Colourmart cobweb weight cashmere silk on 3 needle sizes. Decided on US 8 and did the math to amend the pattern to suit my gauge. So much better!

Did a fit check last night and I think I have two more inches on the body before the hem. May do sleeves before hem to see how much it alters the length

I’m not even through one cake of the fluffy yak, and less than half of the first cone of cashmere. It seems I may have had enough yarn to hold it double, and not be so sheer. But I am not tearing it out again. I will just have another awkward amount of remnants in my stash. Sigh…. I need to get better at estimating how much yarn a project will consume.
