I am using up my stash bits n pieces and fancied using Scrumptious 2ply lace. I have plenty left so I should be able to complete this.
The leftover ball weighs 2.5 ounceS (not quite 2.5 ounces because I had wound the wool around a cloth for cleaning glasses). The final weight of the Stole was 2 and five eighths ounces so that means that the left over ball was probably only 2 ounces or less. :)
I have had to use 3.25mm needles as neither of my chiaogoo interchangeable sets have 3.00mm needles. They jump from 2.75 up to 3.25. How strange is that

Tonight I completed the main body and picked up all the edging stitches.
For the Provisional cast on I used one from YouTube which was a crochet cast on and was to be simple to Discard the crochet edge. Not for me though. I spent the best part of 90 minutes just trying to get my stitches onto needle. A rethink will be in order for this type of cast on.
A stitch count will be the first thing to do before knitting the edge

Started knitting the edging last night. 13 points of first long side completed, 17 more to go on that side. 30 for opposite long side plus 10 for each Of the short sides.

Finished the 2.5 ounce ball which was left over.
Now started on (100 grams) 3.527 Ounces.
I hope I manage to ball up enough wool to complete the remaining borders.

All knitting finished tonight, just blocking to be done.
I forgot myself and weaved in the ends - oops!
The rug that the pre-blocked stole is on is 150cm long.
Weight of stole is 2.625 ounces or 76 Grams.
Amount of wool used from new ball was 0.125 ounces Or 3.544 grams.
