I’m not happy with my progress on this one.

I made it too wide which doesn’t allow the background colour to be very deep. At the moment it measures 13x58 inches.
I am considering frogging it and starting again with just 4 repeats (and not 5).
I’m also unhappy with the pattern continuation, for some reason my mind cannot compute this one (my mind does revert to “idiot” mode occasionally and this is one such occasion.)

I’ll take a photo as it is now to compare with the new version.

A pic of the reknitted version is up. It’s a lot easier to work with only 4 sections. Glad I decided to frog and redo.

I’m learning all the time. If I should ever do another of this type, I shall use mandala for the background and perhaps one colour for the flower.

Sometimes when knitting this, my eyes stop seeing the flower and just see patches of colour which appear to not make any sense at all - a bit like those magic pictures where you had to blur your vision to see the picture hidden. It usually comes good the next day :)

I finished knitting the main body a few days ago. I am now almost finished knitting the border, hopefully completing that today, then it’s washing and a tumble dry. I hope it softens up as it’s quite stiff and hard unlike “Sphinx”, which is wonderfully soft.

It is SOFT! My pooch loves it - see pics.
