Central panel and part of border 1 complete. Unfortunately, I had a moment of brain fog and couldn’t remember if I had knitted rows 1-162 of border 1 on my previous knit, so I spent several minutes going through all the sampler stoles here on ravelry when all I really needed to do was to count the little pattern sections on my current work. Never let it be said that I don’t make everything bloomin hard work for myself.

Yes, I do need to knit rows 1-162 in order to get the correct amount of little diamond shaped patterns. So I shall now commence part 2 of border 1.

Played yarn chicken with the border edge and lost. I’m hoping that when I’ve grafted the border on all will be well. If not, I will have to do some begging or bodging. I do have some green (not jade) Shetland wool and hopefully it won’t be too noticeable (nobody scrutinises my knitting that close!),

All knitting complete. Just need to block it.

During sewing on edge, I got carried away watching a tv programme and forgot to gather around corners. I refuse to undo all my sewing. Just a utter reason to call me lazy

Sampler stole has been blocking for two days, not because it needed but because I wasn’t feeling up to the job.

Bad job sewing border to main body - last time I knit this sampler I knitted it on. I need to go around edging and check for unseen holes
