Working in my last square for Ginger Smith and need another ball of yarn, only another 30+ rows to go. That equates to 8 balls to complete 12 squares.

Only 5 Ginette Belanger squares to knit. I decided to sew together the top line of squares tonight. Another row to sew tomorrow

Cast on for final Splash (forgot I need 13).
6 lines sewn together and the 7th is just waiting for splash square, then it’s on to the edging

All squares Kitchener stitched together, now to finish edging. I was going to knit it on but that would mean having the heavy and very warm afghan on my lap all the time. I’ve decided to Kitchener the edging on

Started last ball (#4) of splash for edging.
Just the one edge to knit including one corner. I see light at the end if the tunnel.

Ran out of wool with one and three quarters squares needing an edging.
The cost of the wool has gone down by £3 per ball. So one ball plus postage is less than I paid per ball last time i ordered it, which was February.

Finally got around to finishing this edging.

Now that winter is more or less over, it will be placed in one of those bags which has the air sucked out by a vacuum cleaner and stored for next winter. Let’s hope it’s a dry but cold one

The border took 5 full balls. That works out at 1,095 yards,
