I kind of hate the wrong side of this shawl. It looks terrible. I would’ve ripped it out and looked for a different pattern if it weren’t my sister who convinced me others wouldn’t find it nearly as terrible. Color striping every two rows in garter stitch just looks terrible on the wrong side to me. Never again.
It was a fast knit, and the pattern fairly interesting. I didn’t bother with a cable needle since you’re only putting one stitch on the cable needle. Also, a little creativity meant that most of the time I was able to keep both stitches on the left needle. For example, on a MC row, before the center stitch, I’d knit until a vertical stripe. Then while keeping the yarn on the wrong side, knit the second stitch on the left needle, but don’t slip stitch off: keep stitch on the left needle. Knit the first stitch on the left needle, and slip both stitches off.
Rather than use the CC for the bottom border, I stuck with the MC and bound off in CC. I was beyond lucky. I ran out of the MC just as I finished my last row, leaving me exactly an 8 inch tail to weave in.
I probably won’t knit this again, but if I were to knit this again, binding off with JSSBO but without sizing up so it has a firmer bottom edge.
Notes for me:

6/25/13 I wasn’t sure about Stroll Glimmer at first. Seemed too shiny, but it’s actually more subtle when knitted. The pattern was a bit confusing once you start striping, but it should go
CC setup (Row 3-4)
MC (Row 5-6)
CC (Row 7, then Row 4)
MC (Row 5-6)
Then repeat.

7/3/13 Currently blocking. I cast off loosely as stated in the pattern, using JSSBO, and went up in needle size because it worked so well on the Color Affection. The sizing up was a mistake. The bottom could’ve used a firmer edge. Right now, it looks like it has a bit of a ruffle instead of the geometric scarf I was hoping for. Well, it’s being gifted to my godmother, so I’m not going to worry about it.
