I had some extra Lopi yarn from my Big Bad Bear hoodie, therefore I decided to make a sweater in honor of one of my favorite characters, Smaug the Tremendous, the Chiefest and Greatest of Calalmities.

Some notes on the process:
-I made the Smaug chart using Excel (I based it on the drawing from The Hobbit novel).
-I had to order 2 more skeins of the black tweed to create a full sweater, but I came up a few rows shy from finishing. Therefore one sleeve will have a grey mountain range design to make up the difference.
-Each piece was was knitted in the round up to the armholes.
-Every decision for the entire sweater was made on a whim, therefore I have no written pattern for it.
