Knitting with dk merino.

I failed to knit all summer and am trying to pick this back up with the sleeves, which I’m knitting flat in hopes that the zipper technique will work to close them up (I’ve never tried it before).

Zip-up seam for sleeves modified from Tsubaki pullover. The body st are on stitch holders, though.

A couple of little mistakes on the zip seams on the sleeves, but it went okay overall. I should’ve picked up more stitches at the underarm and then decreased, but the slight gaps were easily closed when weaving in loose ends.

Made with increases to fit over the hips, since I made it longer, so it closes with six buttons. I had to decrease every five stitches or so while binding off the button band to avoid it stretching out and sagging, but it looks good now.

Time to make pockets!

Drops coconut buttons. Sewn on with embroidery cotton.

Pockets sized to fit my phone or my whole hand, knitted as two separate rectangles. I wanted to make sure the fit was good before doing them.
