I got confused at several points in the pattern. And I thought I was following it, but after tons of counting I still never figured out why my stitch count was off towards the end.

But the reason this jumper is cursed has nothing to do with the pattern, which is fine - it looks great and it turned out all right, I just had very very bad luck and had to, with no exaggeration, knit every single part of it AT LEAST THREE TIMES. It didn’t help that it’s for a giant (my brother-in-law, who’s like six and a half feet tall), so the torso just kept going - and going - and going - as did the sleeves. The jumper reaches my knees when I try it on. :||

If I weren’t giving it away, I’d burn it ceremonially to punish it for the pain it has caused me, even though it looks quite nice.
