Notes

I found this pattern via Pinterest and it’s in French. I don’t actually speak French, but I was able to decipher the pattern with a little help.

It’s very simple, and is knitted in a unique type of ribbing. Odd rows are k2/p2, but even rows are p2, s1 pwise with yarn in front, pass yarn between stitches and yo back to front, k1, psso yo and k stitch.

What I can’t do is find out what this ribbing might possibly be called in English. According to the pattern author it’s called “côtes cortelées” in French, and according to Google translate that means “tied rib” in English, but I only find 2 hits for “tied rib” in English - one is an older book, and one looks similar but is not made in quite the same way.

Perhaps it’s something made up by the blogger, or someone else French, recently…?
