Notes

1-4-09 I LOVE THESE.

These are the best slippers I have made so far.

They just came out of the washer and are drying by the fire.

Both of my kids were chanting “I want some Mom”

We love the color the fit everything about them. I had recently made a pair of pink and green - but I have already put a hole in them. (they wore out at the top of the seam on the bottom of the slipper)

This pair I am going to take to the shoe repair store to see about adding leather.

I modified the pattern with 53Chevey’s christmas clogs notes:

To modify the heel: After changing color and after the initial row and joining row of upper part of clog - Knit 3(3,4,5,6) w&t; Knit 6(6,8,10,12) w&t, Knit 3(3,4,5,6). Cont. Pattern. When sewing together you may need to close some holes by weaving ends loosely, but felting hides a multitude of sins….

To modify cuff: Do not change color and knit Round 1 of Cuff, Knit 1 more round, change color, Knit 1 round and then purl 4 rounds, add novelty yarn and purl 4 more rounds, larger sizes increase to 6/6 - bind off verrrrry loosely.

Note: see last picture in set. I left these too long by the fire @ 1hr and they smoldered and turned black in one area. They were not touching any thing - it was just the heat from the fire. I am so bummed :( Its not so bad the smudge mark is on the inside of my foot so I can’t see it when I look down.
