I am just so gosh darn happy with this toy and the KAL. I think my Kangaroo and Joey turned out fabulous! I did the arms, legs, and head in the round. I had no choice but to do the body straight. I set it aside for along time because I was not confident in my seaming abilities. Well I conquered the mattress stitch.

Making the Joey into a puppet was pure genius.

I had knit one foot as written in Barbara’s pattern. I am not so good at seaming. So the foot looked funny.

I made another foot using Judy’s magic cast on I knit in the round magic loop. Then putting the top 19 stitches on two safety pins. When I finished the foot. I put 8 stitches on each needle. I threaded the front middle stitch with the yarn then I proceeded to mattress stitch the remaining 16 stitches together. I then had to weave the little remaining hole at the front ankle.

I am knitting the arms two at a time and it is coming along very nicely.

Oh my gosh I just love that there is a purl bump to show the eye placement. Genius I used size 12mm as my craft store only had 12 and 9
