Notes

There are six skeins due to 6 colors in the Tam. Only a portion of each skein is used. This tam is a modified version of the “Sweet Melodies” chart in the book.

I love the many colors available in the Jamieson Spindrift yarn. The yarn is so lightweight, that the hat does not feel heavy on the head, but is warm.

Mary Rowe, the pattern designer, suggests that the 7 wedges or triangles in the top of the tam make a better circular knitted shape than the more commonly seen 6 parts.
