The puppet reminds me of a “lambchop” puppet that I had as a child in the early 1960’s. I stuffed the head with wool roving. In future puppets, I plan to add a bit of bright color in the lower band and/or near the neckline.

When washed, the Shetland Spindrift is not as “scratchy” as I expected.

The structure of the puppet is much like a mitten with two thumbs, and a sock heel and toe for the head. It does use a little more shaping than a sock or mitten.

I used short “scrap” pieces of blue and darker grey for the face embroidery
