Commissioned by Sara of Suntrap for her partner. Pattern from Simply Knitting no 87, the hat from a classic set of hat, scarf and gloves.

I added an extra 5 cm of length as the pattern specifies 17 cm, and in the photo this appears to be brimless. I didn’t like the look of that so I added the extra.

It came out really well. I’m happy with it, although this stitch is something I’m not used to and I had to restart it several times - I nearly gave up on it to be honest.

The yarn is a little bit scratchy, but warm.
