These aren’t the best pictures because they don’t capture the lovely drape of this shawl! I had to stretch it a bit to get it to size when blocking, but the extra work was worth it because the stitch definition and the details of the borders really stand out. The red-orange of the Silk Cloud goes so lovely with all the different warm colored hues in the tosh merino light.
Be careful when knitting the Silk Cloud only parts! The yarn loves to stick to itself, which is why it works so well standing alone even though it’s really thin, but it’s easy to knit or purl two stitches together if you’re not paying attention. Also, it’s a bit trickier to un-knit if you make a mistake and have backtrack.

Edit note on 05/29:
I’ve received a message from someone wondering how I got my eyelets on the bound off edge to stand out. The eyelet edging came out in the blocking. I bound off in the usual way: k2, pass second stitch on right needle over first, k1, pass second stitch on right needle over first, rep from to the end. I’m a loose knitter anyway but I made sure that I bound off loosely. I needed to block aggressively to get the shawl to the stated final dimensions. That’s when the eyelets on the edge really popped. I needed to use all my T-pins to hold my blocking wires to get the shawl to stay the size while it was blocking. It was a bit of tedious work, but worth it for the crisp edges of the FO.
