This is one of my favorite projects I’ve ever knit for myself. It’s a great heavy sweater, but I can also use it as a spring/fall jacket.

After reading everyone’s project notes, I decided to knit a size 40 though I’m usually a size 36. This was the right decision, and the 40 fits great. I am noticing a little tightness in the sleeves like others- I may block the finished piece to give a little more room in the arms- I blocked the pieces before seaming.

I also decided to knit 3 more inches in pattern for the back and front pieces, and I’m glad I did as I really like the length. I kept the stitches at the end of the front pieces live on the needles and kitchener stitched them together during seaming.
