So Marionberry never came in so I got a skein of Purple Sage to replace it. Now Cordovan looks too dark so I am getting Brambleberry to replace it…one of these days I will continue this blanket!

Sooooo…immediately after finishing my 3rd quadrant I realized 3 of the colors had gotten mislabeled and I had to rip out 13 squares! It could be worse right?
09/03/2018
I’ve got the last quadrant started! As suspected I am going to have to order more yarn. I knew I was cutting it close, I think if I had done 43st squares instead of 45 I might have made it. Oh well, at least these are colors I like!
My colors ended up being…
A-Plum Crazy 882
B-Then There’s Mauve 881
C-Strawberry Cream 894
D-Doeskin Heather 1926
E-White 871
F-Frosted Almond 228
G-Extra Creme Cafe 873
H-Soft Pink 902
I-Purple Sage 205
J-Brambleberry 857

All 4 quadrants are knit! I just need to weave in the ends on the last quadrant and then I will block all four before seaming. I have decided to use Extra Creme Cafe for the border and possibly blend in bit of Doeskin Heather.

All that’s left to do now is the border! I think I’ve changed my mind and decided to knit the border using Strawberry Cream and Soft Pink.
11/04/2018
Used Frosted Almond to begin the border. Pick up and knit all the way around. Will purl each corner stitch on the wrong side and increase on right and left of each corner stitch on the right side to continue the miter pattern. Also going to wrap and turn so I don’t have to purl.
Knit 4 garter ridges of Frosted Almond before running out.

Used up Soft Pink and Strawberry Cream for the border next. No longer doing W&T…knitting from one skein in one direction and the other in the opposite direction to eliminate the need to purl. Am now using Extra Cream Cafe and Doeskin Heather using this method. I think once I’ve used up these two colors I will call it a day and bind off. I am tempted to do an attached icord bind off with one of my remaining colors but I know that will take SO LONG. We’ll see how I feel when I get there…I’m also very ready to be done and enjoying it!

Soooooo…I couldn’t shake the icord idea so I will now begin an icord bind off using Brambleberry. Almost done, just 1000 icord rows to go!
