Grandsweetie #7 showed up for our Spanish Zoom class yesterday in a bright pink tiara. She is just five. When I said, “Hay una princesa en la clase.” There’s a princess in the class. She reached up to her crown and smiled. We included her at first, so that she wouldn’t feel left out, but I think she is learning more than we realized she would.

I’m thinking one of her big sister bunnies needs to sport a pink crown too. I have in mind making her princess outfit do double duty as a fairy princess. I just need to find a good pattern for removable wings. The sword belt adaptation will hold a fairy wand. That shouldn’t be too hard to come up with.

I finished the dress and picked the first pattern that came up when I searched for fairy wings. I crocheted the wings as per pattern except I used the 2.25mm hook and size 10 thread that I used in the dress.

I also didn’t draw the magic circle up completely, leaving room for the button to go through. I tied the ends in a square knot before weaving them through. I think next time, I might chain for the starting circle, because i almost drew it up too tight to get the button through.
