I started the hat last night, again hoping for a hat for Hitty. Even though I used a bigger hook and added a round to the top, it’s still Althea size. She doesn’t seem to mind.

I used a Boye metal hook labeled size 6/1.8mm.

As mentioned, I added an extra increase round: Rnd 3A: ch 1. sc in same st, ch 1, (2 sc in next, 1 sc in next 2 stitches) around. Join, 30 sts

Rounds 7 + 10 were done in brown. I skipped rounds 8 + 9

I did crab stitch (reverse sc) on round 13.

When Althea saw all the pretty flowers on this bush, she thought she would pick a couple for her hat.
