I just loved the idea for this challenge, so the minute I saw it I started planning. Anyone who knows me, knows I love a wardrobe challenge. Here’s what I picked:

Dress ~ Lori doll dress
Pants ~ Sewn by me
Blouse ~ Mini Julie’s 25th LE holiday blouse
Skirt ~ Sewn by me
Knit top ~ Knitted by me
Vest ~ Sewn by me
Cardigan ~ Knitted by me
Socks ~ Mini Addy’s meet socks
Tights ~ Sewn by me
Hat ~ Crocheted by me
Boots ~ Mini Ivy’s meet boots
Shoes ~ Mini AG Mary Janes

I may wind up having to sub the boots. When I got them out I discovered that like so many of my AG mini doll shoes, the faux leather is flaking. I tried gluing it back on. We’ll see.

I am so tickled with this outfit. I made the vest in 2012 for Mini Josefina’s outfit. I was hoping there would be a pattern in my notebook. Instead there is a date a few months later with the notation that I had skipped recording several things. Yep!

Outfit 2/12 for the #americangirlcapsule challenge on Instagram. I am loving this challenge, both participating in it and seeing everyone else’s outfits and pics. It is such a creativity booster. I would have never thought to put this outfit together if I weren’t trying to make multiple outfits from the garments and accessories I chose. I think maybe I need to try this with my wardrobe too.

I love this yarn that I chose for the cardigan/sweater. I picked it because it has a blue that blends with the skirt fabric and grey to go with the dress and tights I think it was a good choice.

outfit 3/12 for the IG #americangirlcapsule challenge. I’ve been thinking about macramé ever since one of the ladies posted her photo with a macramé wall hanging as a backdrop. When I put this outfit on Mini Ivy last night it seemed a bit plain. I knew immediately what it needed and set about figuring out how to macramé her a belt from a pattern I remember making for myself in the ’70s. YouTube was a huge help. I stayed up way too late working on it for a church night. It turned out that we didn’t go since Hubby had a bad night, so I shopped in my mini craft room from the 80’s for some of the macrame minis I made back then. I put them in a Flickr Album.
