I don’t know if there is any standard technique for this kind of radial colorwork in doilies. I carried the white through the orange by trapping it at the top of every orange stitch (like you would trap floats in knit colorwork), and I carried the orange through the white chains by weaving it around the white every other chain.

I think with a tighter gauge the carried colors would have been hidden better. I should use a 1.5mm hook next time. As it is the chains have a marled look, which I don’t mind.

I skipped the picot round because I ran out of time (it’s already Halloween!)
