Only used 26g of the SybilQcrafts gradient yarn (and 6g of contrasting yarn) each, so I’ll get another short pair of socks out of that!

I had to modify the pattern a bit to do the contrasting heels without needing to break the main yarn. Here’s my pattern (at ~9 sts/inch this fits a US women’s 6.5 foot):

toe:

co 15 on each needle and increase every other round to 66

foot:
switch to main color and k plain 1 round
work pattern for 61 rounds

gusset:
increase either side of needle 2 every other round for 22
(continue in pattern on needle 1)

heel:
change to contrasting color and…
k37 kfb k1
p22 pfb p1 (that’s slip 1 german short row double stitch, p21, pfb, p1, turn)
k20 kfb k1
…
K12 kfb k1
p10 pfb p1

heel flap:
k22 ssk (there should be 14 stitches left to end of needle 2)
sl1 p31 p2tog

repeat until all flap stitches worked:
sl1 k1 16 times, ssk
sl1 p31 p2tog

knit across to last stitch on needle 2 with main color, slip last stitch to needle one and p2tog, work needle 1 in pattern to last stitch then slip first stitch on needle 2 to needle 1 and p2tog

leg:
work in pattern around for 52 rounds

cuff:
2x2 ribbing for 14 rows (twist all knit stitches)
