My youngest son’s oldest cousin had her first child--a baby girl named in honor of (but not exactly after) the cousin (and my son’s) paternal grandmother.

I am trying to make this blanket with colors that her great grandmother would have chosen so that she can carry a bit of this woman whom she is named in honor of but whom she will never meet.
