Tried to do mug rugs similar to my first RHL set but the warp yarn I thought I knew so well was somehow thicker, and the sett ended up too tight for Krokbragd! Oopsie!

So I did some plain weave mug rugs instead, making lemonade!

Making another set of Krokbragd mug rugs on my RHL with the 10dpi heddle, but this time with 8/4 cotton. Focusing on little flower designs.

Realised it would come out better if the weft was considerably thicker than the warp.

With a decided beat, the mug rugs are coming out nicely. Improvising the designs.

Making a sample / single mug rug on the frame loom, at about 7dpi, still with 8/4 cotton in the warp (18wpi) but with a chunky yarn in the weft (10wpi). The balance between warp and weft feels much better, and the mug rug feels lovely and thick, but despite my best efforts, some of the warp is seen near the beginning and end. Plus the ends of the mug rug curl, even though the warp ends have been pulled in only very gently.
