Returning to partial houndstooth! Mixing houndstooth with clasped weft with some soft merino yarn.

Turns out the merino yarn (King Cole Luxury Merino) is too elastic, unfortunately - it’s manageable, I just have to weave very cautiously and balance the heddle so it won’t fall (as much). It’s a pity - it’s a lovely yarn otherwise.

I’m confident the scarf will drape well though.

I’m very happy that I won the game of yarn chicken. I had a limited supply of this yarn and aimed to make the biggest scarf from it that I could, having twice as much of the chocolate as I had of the pebble, and thank goodness my maths (or my luck, who knows!) stood by me! I ran out of neither yarn, though my shuttles looked pretty naked at the end. Wove 194.5cm, as much as the warp allowed.
