Essentially, this is a very long sample… designed to help me test 16 new yarns I had bought / been given.
Warped with Stylecraft Life DK Ice blue, which I’ve also used at the start and end of the scarf.
I felt the Gepard Puno in Hunter Green required some kind of overshot pattern to really shine.
The Stylecraft ReCreate Chunky recycled wasn’t suitable for plain weave on this EPI, so I tried out the double bow knot pattern. The blue warp doesn’t quite sit right there though.
Similarly, the blue warp wasn’t ideal for the Sirdar Jewelspun in Golden Green - a wonderfully soft yarn. I went for 3-1 twill so it could outshine the warp, as long as you don’t turn it over!
The bright red Fonty Ombelle is 75% mohair. It’s the rebel of the bunch. Turned out it looks a bit gentler when used in a kind of overshot fashion.
