Notes

Making a log cabin doubleweave blanket for my sister for her birthday! It will be made from mustard yellow and white acrylic yarn from Joanns! I bought it on sale at the 4th of July and it’s for her birthday at Thanksgiving!

3 yard warp, 8 epi (16 for doubleweave), 8 total squares across (6” each)

4 block across. 6” each block
6x8 = 48 threads per section
24 white
25 Yellow

I rearranged the treadles to be 1,4,2,3 because it makes more sense with my fold on the right.

To treadle this with my yarn, it has to go in this order:

1-2 Yellow
4-3 White
2-1 Yellow
3-4 White
(Repeat until 6”)

1-2 Y
3-4 Y
(Repeat one time)

1-2 W
4-3 Y
2-1 W
3-4 Y
(Repeat until 6”)

So when I pulled this off the loom, I found out that the middle is actually correct!! I was so happy!! So this pattern is perfect!!!

Also last Pic is the stained glass Scottish thistle I made for her for Christmas this year. Her basement library is going to look really good with all these things!!!
