Starting with plaid!
3 yard warp
8 colors each layer
24 ends per color
8 ends per inch
#8 reed with 1 thread per dent per layer
Y, db, w, g, lb, y, db, w = layer 1. Edge g+db
Lb, y, g, db, w, g, lb, y= layer 2
Threading for stripe = 7a-2b-2a-2b-2a-2b-7a
Where a is the first color and b is the second color
To get the stripes, exchange colors with the row above/ below it. So layer 1 is usually odd shafts, and layer 2 is even but for the stripes, reverse the numbers.

I’m adding a line every 2 sections that tie the 2 layers together instead of pinning them this time. It’s an experiment and when I’m done I’m pull them out. I’m trying to keep the 2 layers connected so they stay the same size top and bottom.

Yarn details:
I’m actually going to weave her 3 different blankets so I bought 7 lbs of big twist acrylic yarn from Joanns. There aren’t many color choices in this yarn but it’s the 1 lb balls. The colors are mustard, cream, toffee, chocolate brown, and olive drab.
