YES, I AM planning a bike repair using weaving! It’s the power of yarn… nylon yarn… sweet, sweet nylon yarn!

The 1/2” strap on my pedal broke this weekend and so I have decided to weave my own! Hopefully this one will last 11 years like the last one!

I chose to use card weaving and nylon yarn. Why? Because card weaving is stronger than inkle weaving and nylon yarn will be stronger than cotton and able to withstand the elements better.

Hopefully this all works… and hopefully I can get it done soon! I need a good ride this weekend!

Two loves (weaving and biking) coming together in one… it’s like a dream come true!!!

PS. The clock picture story: these gears came off my bike and my dad helped me turn them into a clock mounted on walnut! The gears have gone about 8,000+ miles with me!
