Made my slipper booties with stretched out reused yarn, and they let a little too much draft onto the tops of my feet. Had plenty of yarn left, so simply worked a second upper over the first, picking up stitches in the same original holes in the base. Left the tops unconnected to allow for shifting and the option of rolling down the top. Did not need the stabiliztion layer with this version =)
