Okay. About the pattern:

Row 1: You will end up with 40 stitches
Row 2: Back to 27
Row 3: You will end up with 39 stitches
Row 4: Back to 27

Also, the “free pattern” that downloads is just the picture.

This yarn doesn’t have the berries, just leaves so I am adding berries as I go because I liked the look of the original yarn suggested.

Took a break because of the heat - I don’t like knitting when I am hot and sticky - plus work has picked up. I work from home and April to October is pretty busy with complete insanity June to August so all I have energy for is watching cooking videos at the end of the day. But….a holiday weekend with cool weather - I’m going to get this finished!

As I rewound the skeins, I had to cut out several knots and took advantage of “blank” sections to cut for fringe. In the original VK picture, they show leaves and berries in the fringe and I don’t like that so I was able to cut the fringe pieces without any leaves and set them aside, then used magic knot to join all the different balls back together. I place a bead whenever I come to one of the magic knots just to extra hide it. Breaking up the 2nd skein where most of the knots occurred from the manufacturer was actually a good idea because then I could mix up the pattern of the leaves and make more varied in placement. The first skein didn’t have any knots to cut out and the leaves are placed at regular spots and always on one side which sucked.
So if you get this yarn - I heavily suggest you hand wind it to look for knots and if there aren’t any….cut anyway and randomly re-attach to shake up your leaf placement.
