Notes

More scraps = more mittens. I think the scraps are acrylic based on the feel of the yarn. 41g of yarn were used in these.
I used a tubular cast on (which required 1/2”/st) with 3.25mm needles to cast on 28 sts for a tight cuff. I am loosely following the stitch counts for 4sts/in and the 7.5” size. I knit 16 rows of k1p1 ribbing for the cuff.
After switching needles, I increased 4 sts evenly around and knit 2 rows. In the following row, I increased one stitch for the start of the thumb gusset. I started working the lice stitch (for the lice stitch, every third row I am alternating the location of the other colour every fourth stitch). I set the middle of the thumb gusset three stitches from the cast on so that the gusset will be on the palm side. For the thumb gusset, I increased every other row twice and every third row three times for a total of 13 gusset stitches.
