Nov 19: Yarn arrived

Jan. 7: Cast on. I love the rustic feel of this Uist Wool. Color “Luan” means Moon. It’s a delicate gray with loft and spring with dappled flecks.

Jan 18: Began second ball of yarn at point of division for sleeves. Pattern instructions are working well.

Feb 1: Knitted 7 inches (added 2 inches to the 5 inches per pattern) from underarm in body length prior to starting rib. Almost finished with 2nd ball of wool. Not certain how much length to extend for crop; the 2 extra inches would probably work well; however, in the meanwhile, I’ve started 3rd ball for sleeves and will come back to the ribbing to complete the body after sleeves are finished.

Feb 13: Completed body changing to added length of 1 1/2 inches. Starting last ball of yarn and 2nd sleeve.

Feb 19: Finished neck band after I had to re-do picking up stitches for neck since I didn’t like the way it creased at the seam on the inside. (I’m somewhat of a perfectionist.) Second time worked out much better. I have some yarn left but not a whole lot, maybe half a ball. Soaked and blocking. I love love this yarn and sweater!
