Using size 3 needles.
CO 59 sts using a Norwegian Long-Tail Cast-on.
Work in garter st for 1”, ending with a WR row.
Set-up Row (RS): Sl1, pm, work Chart C over next 57 sts (rep central section 4 times), pm, k rem 1 st.
Work in pattern as set for 12 rows, maintaining any sts before the first m and after the last m in St st, and ending on a WS row.
Inc Row (RS): Sl 1, m1, k to first m, sl m, work across central lace panel as set to last m, sl m, k to 1 st before end, m1, k1 - 2 sts inc’d.
Working in pattern as set, rep Inc Row every 12th row 4 more times, then work 1 more WS row - 69 sts.

Shape Cap:
Note: In working the sleeve caps the sleeve cap dec will eventually disrupt the lace pattern. Once there are no longer enough sts to work an inc with its corresponding dec, work those sts in plain St st.

Row 1 (RS): BO 3 sts, work rem sts in pattern as set.
Row 2 (WS): BO 3 sts purlwise, work rem sts in pattern as set - 63 sts.
Work the next two rows as follows:
Row 1 (RS): Sl 1, k2tog, work in pattern as set until 3 sts rem in row, ssk, k1.
Row 2 (WS): St 1, p2tog tbl, work in pattern as set until 3 sts rem in row, p2tog, p1 - 4 sts dec’d.
Rep these two rows 1 more time - 55 sts.

Work 10 rows even in pattern as set.
Cap Dec Row: Sl 1, k2tog, work in pattern as set until 3 sts rem in row, ssk, k1 - 2 sts dec’d.
Work Cap Dec Row every 4th row 1 more time - 51 sts
Work Cap Dec Row every other row 10 more times - 31 sts.
Work the next two rows as follows:
Row 1 (RS): Sl 1, k2tog, work in pattern as set until 3 sts rem in row, ssk, k1.
Row 2 (WS): St 1, p2tog tbl, work in pattern as set until 3 sts rem in row, p2tog, p1 - 4 sts dec’d.
Rep the last two rows 3 more times - 17 sts rem. BO all sts.
