As usual Drops’ patterns drive me a little crazy!!!
first breakaway: if you slip markers in wrong way the lace pattern doesn’t match at all!!
I had an intuition that has been approved by Drops’ staff (see online pattern/question&answers)
correct directons for raglan are:
before 2/4 marker: yo/SLIPMarker/k1twisted/k1/k1twisted/yo
before 3/1 marker: yo/k1twisted/k1/k1twisted/SLIPmarker/yo
Now it’s ok!
Other “tip”: put markers at the beginning and at the end of the lace charts (due to raglan, you’ll have an increasing number of sts, if you do not put markers there’s the risk to get confused)
after 20 rows chart 2/4:
back/front 22cm approx
Sleeves: 9cm approx
Neck: 66 cm
needed mods: added 6 sts on each underarm, and then decreased these sts in the next three rounds; made
lots of mods. to get the best fit/shape, too, but now it’s really ok
strong mods for sleeves!
- not 2cm stockinette stitches but just 3 rounds after pickup from waste yarn
- 6 new stitches and joined in the round; did not pickup stitches at underarm: that gives me a “hole” and after I close it doing some stitches with a hook; it’s more comfortable! (pic 5/6)
